Sun, Sea, and Adventure: Our Upcoming Trip to the French Riviera and Paris
Hi there, lovely readers!
I’m beyond excited for my upcoming trip to the South of France, Monaco, and Paris with my husband and baby. We leave tomorrow! It’s going to be a whirlwind adventure filled with amazing sights, sounds, and experiences, and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
This upcoming trip is not only going to be an adventure (first time travelling with our baby boy), but it’s also going to provide the perfect inspiration for my upcoming books and journal prompts. From the stunning coastal towns of the South of France to the glitz and glamour of Monaco, and the rich history and art in Paris, I have a good feeling that this trip is going to be a trove of inspiration. I can’t wait to immerse myself in the culture and let my creativity flow. I’m looking forward to using this trip as a catalyst for my writing and journaling, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me both literally and creatively.
As a new mom, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to travel with a little one. Since becoming a mom, I’ve gotten used to travel days, driving across Ontario for little road trips and opportunities to visit friends and family, but this will be our little boy’s first time flying. I remind myself of this fact: babies are incredibly adaptable. As long as you make sure they’re comfortable, fed, and entertained, they’ll be just fine. So, for this trip, I’ve packed plenty of diapers, wipes, and baby food. I’ve also brought along some of my baby’s favourite toys and books to keep him entertained on long flights and drives.
We’re flying into Paris and driving to the South of France (more specifically to the French Riviera), where we plan to spend our days lounging on the beach and exploring charming coastal towns. Along the way from Paris to the French Riviera, we’ll be stopping in a small town in the Rhône-Alpes. We’re heading to Monaco and finally, we’re ending our trip in Paris.
This trip is something I’ve had planned long before we had a baby. Years ago, we met a couple in Positano who were having dinner with a baby on their lap. They were laughing, enjoying each other’s company, and looked like they had everything you could want out of life. My then-boyfriend (now husband) and I ended up chatting with the couple and their baby, who also turned out to be Canadians! They told us that, in their opinion, the best time to travel with a baby was between six-months and a year old, since they weren’t yet running around. We talked for much longer than we anticipated and the image of that happy couple with their baby at a restaurant by the sea really stuck with me.
Journal Prompt: What new experiences or adventures would you like to have in the next year? Write about why these experiences are important to you and what steps you can take to make them happen.
Journaling is a powerful tool for creating the life you want. By putting your thoughts and desires down on paper, you give them space to breathe and become real. This certainly has been the case for me. Journaling can help you clarify your goals, identify your obstacles, and come up with solutions to overcome them. It can also help you track your progress and celebrate your successes along the way. The act of journaling itself is a form of self-care and can help you cultivate a greater sense of mindfulness and gratitude in your life. So, take some time each day to reflect on your dreams and desires, and let your journal be your guide on the path to living your best life.
I’m so excited for all the adventures we’ll have along the way, and I can’t wait to share them all with you. So stay tuned for updates from the road, and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for all the behind-the-scenes action.
À la prochaine!
